Hi, I'm Biz the otter! I'm an electronic musician from BC, Canada! As a huge techno enthusiast, I'm always either working on my own music or sharing and discussing other music I love! I'm also an avid record collector, and like making silly videos on my YouTube channel. I'm very active in the Boards of Canada community, where you may know me as the "average BoC fan" or from the Hooper Bay hoax... I also host aepages.org, the Autechre fan wiki!Check out where you can find me across the net using the links below, or join my Discord server and say hi!
A brief history of my YouTube channel:THIS IS VERY WIP IF YOU READ THIS.In late 2013, as a typical 13 year old, I began uploading a Minecraft Let's Play series to YouTube. Of course it was typically awful, but I had a lot of fun making it. Back then, I went by "E4io" online. The name was pretty meaningless as I had just taken it from a Game Grumps video. Throughout 2014, I started several more Let's Play series' with games like Don't Starve, Dishonored, and various Minecraft challenge maps.I was basically invisible online during 2015, but returned to YouTube in early 2016. My videos took on a much more shitposty tone fueled by teenage angst and general pessimism. During this era, I didn't feel comfortable enough to be genuine, and instead opted to never be serious. It was around mid 2016 when I switched to "Biznasty" as my primary username. From early to mid 2018, I reprised my classic Minecraft Let's Play in the same world I originally played in.After that, I took another step back from the internet, and stayed dormant online until late 2020, when I return with with a mix of light-hearted skits and parodies, and a short-lived album review series. I abandoned the reviews a little over a year later because I didn't like how I was doing them, and unfortunately never found a way I did like. But, I've since remained fairly active on my channel with short joke videos. I also became very engaged with the Boards of Canada community, as they had become one of my new favourite bands, and created the "Average Boards of Canada Fan" video which has gone on to be my most popular, as well as the infamous Hooper Bay hoax.Currently I am more focused on my music, but always write down video ideas. I'm also working on incorporating my music production and record collecting into more videos.
